We, Bill & Linda Kinard respectfully inform you that we have closed the "Elvis Presley Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery".
First the City of Tupelo, illegally went onto our private property and dug up the cemetery causing extensive damage and stealing $125,000 worth of "fill dirt". This left the cemetery undevelopable for 5 to 7 years.
Second we repaired the land and had it ready to reopen, however individuals on 4 wheelers continue to do what is called, "Mississippi Mudding" and "cut ruts and destroyed our landscaping".
The continue cost and struggle to open the cemetery has lead us to make the decision to close the cemetery and look for alternative development projects, such as a hotel and/or etc.
